Each year at the end of November, Wesley Place Methodist Church opens its doors to over 2500 visitors for its annual Christmas Tree Festival. This annual event is now in its 12th year.
The Christmas Tree Festival is one of the highlights of Alsager's street fair which accompanies the turn on of Christmas lights in the village. Over 30 Christmas trees are decorated by organisations and businesses in Alsager, and provide a magical display of the power of light at this time of the year.
This year, our Christmas Tree festival hosted nearly 50 trees. In addition, there was a display of a life-sized model of the Nativity, and a display of nativity sets, reminding visitors that the birth of Jesus is central to Christmas. There was also a model railway to enchant visitors as they visited the church to see the display.
